Back to School in Sierra Leone

It's time to contribute to the school tuition of the 150 students that have been able to attend school is Sierra Leone due to the generosity of members and friends of Woodmont Baptist's Sierra Leone Children's Fund.

War and slow rebuilding in Sierra Leone has caused unimaginable poverty, disease, and little hope for the future of the children in the country. In our work in Sierra Leone, our members have met beautiful children whose hearts and minds are eager for instruction and guidance. But like other casualties of war, their lives will stay steeped in poverty and want - unless we continue to life them up and show them Christ's mercy through funding their education.

How can you help? You can change a life for only $50 a semester. That amount of money provides for tuition in a Christian school in Lunsar and Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Scholarships are dispersed by the Cotton Tree Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting education in Sierra Leone. Cotton Tree ensures that students are helped, and progress reports on the children's education is provided to the SLCF committee.

This is one children's fund that guarantees that money reaches the students and schools that need it. The partnership with Sierra Leone is a long and fruitful partnership.

Please join us this year as we get ready to go Back to School in Sierra Leone.
